The Seattle Mindfulness Center is dedicated to offering high quality treatment, training and education that integrates contemporary mindfulness practices and skills with the science of psychology.
The practice of yoga and mindfulness can provide relief for anxiety symptoms such as difficulty focusing, rumination, physical discomfort, and sleep disruption. Getting the body moving with yoga and practicing mindfulness can help to calm the nervous system, stem the stream of anxious thoughts, promote relaxation, and provide a greater sense of overall wellbeing. Practicing yoga and mindfulness can help us be with what is, surf the waves of difficult emotions, boost our resilience, and cultivate a sense of calm and self-compassion. Practicing with others helps us remember our interconnectedness and common humanity. These weekly classes are intended to be a space for self-reflection and self-care and to support your ability to establish nurturing routines.
