    In this interactive lecture, Deb will guide kids, teens and/or parents through a definition of stress and anxiety, the neuroscience behind what is happening when we experience stress and anxiety, and a handful of practical mindfulness based exercises that can be used to minimize the impact of stress and anxiety on the brain and body. This event is highly adaptable to meet the needs of the inquiring community and can be modified for any size or age of audience. Please inquire for more details.

    About Deb Grover:

    Deb Grover is the Marketing and Outreach director for Community of Mindful Parenting. She is a trained Roots of Empathy facilitator, graduate of Mindful Self-Compassion and Mindful Based Stress Reduction classes. She holds a BA in writing and psychology from the University of Puget Sound and an MBA from Seattle University. Deb also teaches Girl Sense classes in the Seattle area. Girl Sense is a 7-week class that dives deeper into mindfulness techniques to address stress and anxiety in girls ages 9-14.
