Sophie Grow
I live in the gorgeous Oregon Willamette Valley with my husband and two daughters. I am a voracious reader, a fierce friend, and a lazy gardener. I espouse a “good enough” parenting attitude and uses humor to weather every difficult time in life, sometimes (most times) inappropriately. My own parenting experience changed when I found Mindful Self Compassion. I found with changing my mindset I had more to give to everyone (including myself) more often than before. My passions are listening to your stories and co-creating safe spaces for storytelling. Our internal narrative as parents, as mothers, is a key part of adjusting well to the challenges of parenthood. Who am I? What do I value? What do I stand for? Taking the time to seek inside for answers tells us our experiences are full of wisdom. We honor it by listening. I serve my community as a Parent Educator, as a Birth and Postpartum Doula, and as a Peer Support Group Facilitator, assisting families struggling with Perinatal Mood and Anxiety disorders as they navigate accessing mental health resources in the community.
